School Turnaround Learning Community Online Tour

The School Turnaround Learning Community (STLC) Library of resources found at the Department of Education is designed to assist under-performing schools.  Some of the ways they can assist schools is by providing tools, products, reports, media, webinars, and research to support improvements. Online access to resources will help the school districts involved to make changes as part of an online community.  Get your school involved in the process by registering today.

There are some resources in place to help improve school progress including a new teacher evaluation PowerPoint for administrators to improve feedback to teachers in the classroom.  The department has numerous webinars planned that will tackle a variety of topics from engaging family and community to using the data generated to improve future academic results.  The site is still a work in progress, but the possibilities for connected learning is very promising.

There will be a webinar designed to help teachers and administrators explore what the site has to offer that will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm.  The tour is free, but districts are encouraged to register early.  Linking under-performing schools through the School Turnaround Learning Community Website is a great new way improve idea sharing across states and districts.
